About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and retain strong relationships with assigned clients and assume primary responsibility for client service needs and retention
  • Assist Producers with prospect deliverables, including plan design strategy, financial analysis, funding arrangement review, and setting 3–5 year goals
  • Participate in finalist presentations for prospects
  • Provide plan design and financial solutions addressing employee attraction, retention, and budget constraints
  • Analyze client financial status, risks, forecasting, trending, claims experience, and other applicable data
  • Consult on compliance requirements and communicate the Horton value proposition
  • Prepare, deliver, and execute service plans and oversee team completion of assigned tasks
  • Deliver annual stewardship reports, mid-year/pre-renewal presentations, and monthly and/or quarterly experience reports
  • Coordinate service team needs and internal and external resources
  • Attend client meetings with carrier representatives
  • Conduct periodic coverage reviews with clients
  • Develop claims and wellness strategy and special handling instructions with carriers, vendors, or TPAs
  • Initiate and ensure execution of the marketing process, including underwriting questions, rate and coverage negotiations, and presenting findings
  • Analyze and compare rates and alternatives for prospects and clients
  • Design and oversee client presentations
  • Educate clients on ACA Reporting, COBRA, DOL Audits, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, and other compliance issues
  • Meet or exceed goals related to customized service plans, client satisfaction, book growth, and retention
  • Follow HBS procedures within Applied Epic
  • Perform other duties as requested, exercising discretion and judgment in prioritizing workload

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Life and Health License must be obtained within 75 days of the first day of New Hire Onboarding
  • At least five years of direct related experience
  • Ability to provide strong leadership, mentoring and training to other members of team
  • Strong speaking and presentation skills
  • Flexibility and creativity for developing innovative and customized business solutions
  • Must be willing to travel as required
  • Ability to sell and/or influence decision making of others
  • Strong benefits technical knowledge, including an understanding of all forms of coverage and plan alternatives
  • Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Sense of urgency and works well under pressure
  • Analytical-technically oriented
  • Highly Proficient in MS Office
  • Responsible for adherence to the stated expectations of the E&O Plus Quality Management Program
