About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the complete lifecycle of reinsurance contracts for assigned accounts
- Draft contract language reflecting reinsurance negotiations between clients and reinsurers
- Initiate contract transmittals and coordinate execution of final documentation
- Build relationships with reinsurance brokers and clients
- Answer contract-related inquiries for assigned accounts
- Provide reinsurance contract analysis independently or with the Global Contract Consultant team
- Use Marsh Re’s AI-assisted contract analysis tool after receiving training
- Mentor and facilitate colleagues new to the industry through the Contract Drafter Academy
- Lead or collaborate on Contracts Team projects
- Create and present training on reinsurance industry topics
- Develop workflow tools to improve work-product efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of reinsurance experience
- Bachelor’s degree or experience in a relevant field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to independently manage and prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation and/or law degree preferred as a standout qualification
- Knowledge of contract law, contract provisions, reinsurance concepts and principles, basic regulatory controls, and general business trends
