About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop an understanding of clients’ business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs
- Provide knowledge and advice to complex clients
- Identify the need for new products and develop innovative client solutions
- Complete policy management activities and deliver reviewed policies to clients
- Address client inquiries
- Deliver technical expertise in presentations of RFPs
- Act as lead advisory colleague on medium-sized, less complex books of business
- Review client exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for standard client needs
- Execute renewal and placement strategies with Placement, Advisory Leader and Client Executive
- Assist in presentations to prospective clients
- Negotiate and evaluate carrier quotes with Placement
- Build and maintain client relationships as primary day-to-day service contact
- Monitor client deliverables and invoicing
- Keep abreast of changing market conditions and contribute to internal product-line knowledge
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years industry experience along with Marine experience
- P&C license a must, or ability to obtain
- Bachelors' degree preferred
- Ability to build strong relationships and build rapport with internal colleagues, clients and carriers
- Self-starter and resourcefulness with the ability to bring solutions and ideas to the firm
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
- Interest in achieving the practice’s goals
- Ability to work in the local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week
