About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop an understanding of clients’ business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs
  • Provide knowledge and advice to complex clients
  • Identify the need for new products and develop innovative client solutions
  • Complete policy management activities and deliver reviewed policies to clients
  • Address client inquiries
  • Deliver technical expertise in presentations of RFPs
  • Act as lead advisory colleague on medium-sized, less complex books of business
  • Review client exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for standard client needs
  • Execute renewal and placement strategies with Placement, Advisory Leader and Client Executive
  • Assist in presentations to prospective clients
  • Negotiate and evaluate carrier quotes with Placement
  • Build and maintain client relationships as primary day-to-day service contact
  • Monitor client deliverables and invoicing
  • Keep abreast of changing market conditions and contribute to internal product-line knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years industry experience along with Marine experience
  • P&C license a must, or ability to obtain
  • Bachelors' degree preferred
  • Ability to build strong relationships and build rapport with internal colleagues, clients and carriers
  • Self-starter and resourcefulness with the ability to bring solutions and ideas to the firm
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Interest in achieving the practice’s goals
  • Ability to work in the local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week
