About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create, review, and edit customized human resources communication materials for targeted audiences using MS Word and PowerPoint
- Write for digital communication platforms, including HR portals and virtual benefits fairs
- Implement communication strategies and work plans by creating project deliverables and applying knowledge from experience and research
- Interact regularly with clients by phone, email, and client meetings
- Answer questions, handle edits or changes, and provide requested materials
- Coordinate compliance, technical, editorial, client, and vendor reviews
- Resolve complex and unique issues raised during review processes, escalating difficult issues as appropriate
- Assist senior Communication consultants with project management and production coordination on large, complex assignments
- Leverage work to analysts, administrative assistants, graphic designers, and other resources when appropriate
- Provide guidance for accomplishing work and meeting performance standards
- Support business development through proposals and sales presentations
- Research and analyze business strategy, compensation trends, global expansion, and career management best practices
- Support employee-facing engagements that articulate client objectives, advance employee value propositions, promote total rewards programs, and drive behavior change
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in English, Business, Communication, Journalism, Human Resources, or related field of study
- At least 3 years' experience writing content using both creativity and factual accuracy
- Strong writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills
- Expertise in technical, marketing, and persuasive writing
- Ability to operate well in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
- Strong command of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Oral presentation and client relationship skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
- Experience writing corporate internal HR communications, such as compensation, benefits, and policies, and/or applicable experience
- Experience in a professional services or consulting firm
- Experience writing change management content to communicate career-related policy changes
- Experience with web content development
- Experience with Excel and/or data analysis platforms
- Experience in a client-facing role
- Ability to build internal partnerships to be effective in the role
- Must work in the Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC office at least three days per week
