About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own significant workstreams within client engagements and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of analyses, insights, and recommendations
- Structure complex business problems, develop hypotheses, and identify required analyses and information
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and translate findings into actionable client insights
- Build trusted client relationships and contribute to discussions, interviews, and working sessions
- Develop client deliverables and communicate findings and recommendations through presentations and discussions
- Support Engagement Managers and Partners with work planning, prioritization, issue resolution, and project execution
- Guide, coach, and provide feedback to junior team members
- Contribute to intellectual capital, thought leadership, recruiting, firm-building, and business development
- Lead and manage complex client programs as an Engagement Manager, ensuring on-time delivery against agreed goals
- Guide clients through commercial processes and identify new and expanded business opportunities
- Oversee consulting teams developing hypotheses, reviewing information, conducting interviews, deriving insights, and producing deliverables
- Develop others and build followership within the firm
- Work on commercial effectiveness engagements involving pricing, go-to-market, sales force effectiveness, marketing effectiveness, propositions, tools, technology, commercial organization, and change enablement
- Travel 50% of the time, including internationally
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4–7 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similar organization
- Experience supporting consumer clients on topline growth, pricing strategy, or commercial effectiveness topics preferred
- Track record of leading and managing teams and delivering results in demanding environments
- Strong strategic problem-solving background with demonstrable analytical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
- Client management experience
- Passion for creative processes and expansive, creative thinking
- Analytical and rigorous approach to uncovering insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within changing priorities
- Impeccable judgment and ability to make timely, sound decisions
- High motivation and commitment to excellence
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including internationally
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required for U.S. office locations
