About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Formulate and execute a client-first vision, strategy, and operational design for Claims Advocacy.
- Lead multiple Claims Advocacy teams and field claim executives.
- Direct claims operations activities and best practices to deliver services effectively and efficiently.
- Synchronize catastrophe event responses, major-claim resources, educational offerings, and capabilities across PCS regions.
- Resolve insurer issues protecting key clients and Family Offices and retaining relationships.
- Contribute to client and center-of-influence communications and participate in client webinars.
- Serve as the external face of MMA PCS Claims Advocacy.
- Lead claims professionals in resolving complex and/or high-value losses while keeping relevant parties informed.
- Coach the team toward favorable client outcomes and internal claims-operations KPIs.
- Evaluate claims processes and departmental strategy and develop improvement plans.
- Direct design and implementation of claims technologies with PCS Operations and EPIC Transformation teams.
- Communicate client and Family Office matters, team updates, market developments, and claims trends to field leadership and MMA regions.
- Maintain regular client and local PCS service-team contact.
- Collaborate across the enterprise and with MMA regions on claims activities and carrier relationships.
- Monitor external trends, regulatory changes, and best practices; identify risks and opportunities and implement action plans.
- Contribute claims and risk-management insight to client and Family Office annual reviews.
- Participate in prospect meetings, center-of-influence presentations, projects, and committees.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Preferred minimum of 10 years of claims experience, preferably with an affluent and high-net-worth broker or carrier.
- Knowledge of personal lines products and services, insurance practices, contracts, and their application.
- Experience in a customer service environment, including WFH arrangements, flexible work schedules, and extended work hours preferred.
- Experience leading a team of claims professionals is a plus.
- Proven ability to meet customer needs and provide exemplary service.
- Proven knowledge of investigation, negotiation, and settlement activities for very complex and/or high-value claims.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for coverage, jurisdictional law, policy exclusions, and exceptions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 20%.
- BS/BA degree preferred.
- Producer licenses (Casualty - Commercial and Personal).
- Claim adjuster licenses.
