About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with state governments and internal teams to manage overall service delivery and strategy for Mercer’s financial and consulting support
- Examine financial reports to understand emerging Medicaid health care experience and managed care organization financial performance
- Help ensure Medicaid dollars are utilized efficiently
- Work with client and team project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Develop and propose essential project documents, including budgets and work plans
- Communicate regularly with clients to review project status and expectations
- Provide expertise and insight to solve potential project problems
- Manage project scope, budget, and timelines
- Lead and partner with analysts, actuaries, consultants, and subject matter experts to achieve client service delivery success
- Use AI and technology-enabled tools in the consulting environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree
- 5+ years of managing and leading teams or projects, consulting, or financial analysis
- Ability to lead large teams, projects, and initiatives in a dynamic environment
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Medicaid program experience strongly preferred
- Healthcare financial or data analysis experience, including financial modeling or rate setting, strongly preferred
