About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic leadership for the MMA Dakotas Business Insurance practice
  • Set the vision, direction, and priorities for the practice while driving profitable growth
  • Ensure agency and departmental goals are achieved
  • Champion the MMA sales process and reinforce sales methodology across the team
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and seek better ways to serve clients
  • Partner with leadership and team members to assess practice needs and establish priorities
  • Facilitate collaboration and cross-sell opportunities across MMA and Marsh McLennan businesses
  • Establish annual sales goals and performance metrics for the practice
  • Monitor key financial metrics, including new business forecasting, retention, pipeline development, and producer success rates
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency leaders and other teams across the footprint
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives and helps shape long-range business strategy.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in business insurance industry, including experience within a broker/agency or carrier environment (preferably with a portion of that time in a sales role)
  • BA/BS focused on Business, Risk Management or equivalent
  • Thorough command of business insurance marketplace; demonstrated ability to lead application of technology solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with insurance carriers
  • Proven ability to interact with senior executives, to develop and gain support of a vision, and to operate effectively under pressure
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives and offer a strategic view point to holistically ensure that MMA Dakotas’ goals/objectives are achieved
  • Strong relationship builder, listener and partner to the business
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office software.
