About the role
- Based within the Fiduciary Accounting department managing transition of funds between clients and insurers
- Responsible for account reconciliation and ledger management
- Raise and send payment requests and act upon payment conditions and deadlines
- Investigate and resolve unmatched cash issues and financial exposures
- Perform credit control activities
- Calculate different tax and commission rates as required
- Produce and deliver information and documentation in line with requirements
- Build and develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage a varied and demanding workload and resolve queries using MS Excel
Requirements
- Good level of education with strengths in numerical and accounting-related subjects
- Exceptional numeracy skills and demonstrable experience of working with figures
- Inquisitive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage differing demands
- Passion for delivering excellent service to external and internal clients
- Great communication skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
- High level of accuracy with impeccable attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Previous accounting/credit control experience (ideally insurance related) — desirable
- Proven track record handling and resolving complex customer queries in a financial environment — desirable
- Experience dealing with multi-currencies (specifically dollars) — advantageous
- Ability to work in Norwich office at least three days per week
