About the role
- Provide exceptional client service for employee health and benefits programs
- Oversee insurance programs and manage transactions
- Update and maintain client information and data integrity
- Negotiate coverage terms with carriers and vendors
- Collaborate closely with the account servicing team to address inquiries
- Read and interpret complex documents, such as insurance policies, applications and proposals
- Support group benefits administration including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
- Work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment while meeting deadlines
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience working with insurance products and employee benefits at an agency or related company
- Experience managing group benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, and voluntary benefits
- Strong understanding of self-funded medical plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively service customers
- Being a self-starter; a highly organized problem solver with good time management skills to meet deadlines
- Detail orientation and handling a wide variety of tasks
- Proficiency with Excel Spreadsheets, Word Documents, and ability to navigate Agency Management Systems
- Reading and interpreting complex documents, such as insurance policies, applications and proposals
- Ability to work on a fast paced, high-energy team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Life & Health license preferred, or the ability to obtain upon hire
- BS/BA in Business, Insurance or related field (preferred)
