About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement scheduling strategies that align with organizational goals and optimize resource utilization
- Collaborate with group leads to forecast scheduling needs and accommodate changes in demand
- Monitor scheduling metrics, utilization, and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Utilize scheduling software and tools to streamline processes and improve communication across teams
- Act as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries, resolving conflicts and ensuring smooth operations
- Coordinate and manage the assignment of consultants and staff to projects based on availability, skillsets, and project priorities
- Maintain an accurate resource database with current skill profiles, certifications, and availability statuses
- Collaborate closely with project managers, human capital, and delivery teams to align staffing plans with project timelines and business objectives
- Manage the upkeep and accuracy of resource management tools/systems, ensuring data integrity for availability, skills, and utilization
- Train and support end users on resource management tools and best practices
- Identify and recommend process improvements in resource management practices
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in workforce and resource management
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of scheduling experience in a professional services/consulting environment
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex scheduling processes and optimizing resource allocation
- Familiarity with consulting workflows and project delivery methodologies
- Experience with resource management or project management software (e.g., Monday.com, Big Hand, Elite 3E) preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to make informed scheduling decisions
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of industry best practices in scheduling and resource management
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus
