About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collect and analyze investment data, formulate recommendations, generate accurate and timely investment-related materials, and present to internal and external audiences
- Participate in client meetings, communicating information about the markets and specific investments within the plan
- Critically analyze different investment markets, managers' investment styles and portfolio characteristics and evaluate their impact on investment performance each quarter and produce accurate and detailed client reports through analysis of client-specific investment data in support of their consulting colleagues
- Communicate with investment managers and custodians to gather and/or clarify client-specific data for reporting. Closely examine and monitor developments at investment management firms and notify clients of critical issues in an accurate and timely manner
- Play an important role in investment manager searches, mutual fund selection, asset allocation studies and other investment-related activities
- Assist the project team in organizing and validating data in Excel and other database software to be used for various projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-7 years of industry/applicable experience with bachelor’s degree and strong technical expertise in retirement plan design/administration.
- Direct consulting experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, including advanced writing and presentation skills
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 licensure required within 120 days of being hired.
- Certified Financial Analyst or similar designation preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to express ideas clearly, both in written and oral communication
- Comfortable presenting in group environment, both in person and virtually
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage projects amidst competing deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
