About the role

  • Responsible for all client management and sales activities across all business areas of Mercer Germany, including: building and expanding relationships with multinational and German mid-market companies based in Germany
  • Establishing, maintaining and deepening trusted relationships with decision-makers and influencers, including C-suite executives, within the German client portfolio
  • Acting as the primary client advocate and trusted partner to ensure Mercer’s (and where applicable Marsh McLennan’s) solutions align with clients’ business strategies and needs
  • Driving revenue growth and profitability within the assigned portfolio by developing and implementing comprehensive 360° client management strategies
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, broadening the mix of Mercer’s (and where applicable Marsh McLennan’s) products and services, and achieving agreed financial targets by increasing Mercer’s (Marsh McLennan’s) presence within the German client base
  • Targeted business development activities to ensure a strong and healthy sales pipeline across all business lines
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics and the competitive landscape
  • Providing expert advice and informed recommendations by leveraging Mercer’s (and where applicable Marsh McLennan’s) product knowledge and a deep understanding of clients’ risks and needs
  • Ensuring solutions are adaptable, compliant and aligned with Mercer’s business standards
  • Leading, motivating and coordinating client teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes, including leading RFPs, project implementation and ongoing service delivery
  • Fostering a collaborative environment that leverages Mercer’s expertise to deliver the best solutions for clients

Requirements

  • Several years of experience managing complex, large-scale client relationships in the German market with a strong focus on sales and business development
  • Deep understanding of people-related business issues and the ability to translate client needs into actionable solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Willingness to travel as needed to maintain client relationships and attend industry events
  • Fluent German and English (business proficiency)
