About the role
- Responsible for supporting the Senior Manager Regulatory Governance Office (RGO) and advising on regulatory compliance obligations and processes across the Mercer and Marsh McLennan businesses
- Support the Senior Manager RGO by providing advice and support on regulatory compliance obligations
- Ensure accurate maintenance of documentation, artefacts, and records
- Monitor regulatory change developments
- Assist in the response to Regulator enquiries, requests, reviews and interactions
- Support Senior Manager RGO to conduct regulatory role assessments
- Support the Senior Manager RGO to maintain and update policies and procedures
- Develop accurate and concise reports, dashboards, and escalation tools
- Undertake periodic risk-based monitoring and thematic reviews
- Support the Senior Manager RGO in monitoring of Trigger Events
Requirements
- Risk, compliance, regulation, legal interpretation
- Minimum of 3 years in a Risk, Compliance or Governance role in Financial Services
- Experienced in regulatory compliance or governance preferably within a large superannuation or other financial services organisation
- Experienced in interpreting legal requirements of legislation
- Experienced at creating and drafting board and committee papers, drafting policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to develop detailed knowledge of business processes, policies and procedures
- Skilled at analysing data from different sources, and drawing objective observations
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Prior knowledge of CPS 511, SPS 520, RG 105
- Prior experience of BEAR or FAR is desirable, but not essential
