About the role
- responsible for producing, managing, and retaining a growing book of business
- achieve objectives established in annual producer sales plan
- prospect new business from existing clients and identified target groups
- contact prospects to provide quotes and make sales appointments
- survey prospects to determine insurance needs and inspect current insurance policies
- develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance
- work with service person to complete submissions and selection of potential markets
- conduct client and prospect appointments
- build strong relationships with internal partners and external parties
- participate in renewals and maintain production reports
Requirements
- current Property & Casualty Insurance License
- previous experience in the Insurance/Broker marketplace
- 2-3 years of selling experience, preferably commercial or personal insurance products
- knowledge of Commercial or Personal Insurance and products
- all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance
- college degree preferred, but not mandatory
- proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- strong listening skills and attention to detail
- strong negotiation and organizational skills
