About the role

  • Hold weekly calls with each team member to go over their book and assist with their strategy for the year.
  • Leverage master calendar/Smartsheet to help the team stay on track and make sure they are meeting deadlines.
  • Help to optimize time management and organization within the team.
  • Spend time with each team member to hone in on areas of opportunity and create a training program.
  • Communicate clear goals, expectations, and feedback to the team on a frequent basis.
  • Act as a liaison between the team and the subject matter experts for effective communication.
  • Involved in hiring for new roles when necessary.
  • Conduct/Own HR Goal Setting Process and Performance Management Process for your Direct Reports.
  • Balance/Approve PTO Requests for Team Members.
  • Relay new information coming downstream to the team and interpret its impact on clients.
  • Oversee Client Compliance Needs and provide a consistent approach to new laws/regs.
  • Provide additional support on Key Accounts.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Active and current Florida 2-15 insurance license
  • At least 10 years of account management experience within an insurance agency
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (plus, but not required)
  • Management experience (plus, but not required)
  • Self-funded experience (plus, but not required)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (plus, but not required)
