About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead HR management support across Central and Eastern Europe
  • Ensure HR policies, practices, and programs align with business and people strategies
  • Partner with People Managers and Business Leaders to deliver the CEE people agenda
  • Provide guidance on colleague matters and drive consistent, high-quality HR delivery across 15 countries
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of six HR Business Partners
  • Lead regional HR support across CEE for Marsh Risk, Marsh People and Investment, Marsh RE, and Corporate/Tech
  • Oversee HR processes, initiatives, and core people programs across the full employee lifecycle
  • Advise, coach, and support People Managers across the region
  • Partner with HR Services and Centers of Excellence to deliver regional and enterprise HR initiatives
  • Ensure employee relations matters are managed effectively in line with risk, compliance, and business requirements
  • Support implementation of compensation, performance, and talent review processes
  • Ensure clear priorities, resource planning, coordination, and timely delivery of projects
  • Drive consistency and continuous improvement in HR delivery across countries
  • Act as a trusted HR partner to senior stakeholders and contribute to the regional people strategy
  • Report directly to the Europe HR Integration and Delivery Leader and indirectly to the CEE Marsh People Leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in HR
  • Minimum 5 years of international experience
  • Significant exposure to cross-country or regional HR leadership in a multi-country environment
  • Strong experience across the full employee lifecycle
  • Experience in a complex, matrixed, multinational organization
  • Proven leadership capability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience leading remote teams
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple countries
  • Track record of building and leading inclusive, high-performing teams
  • Ability to manage complex priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver with discipline and accountability
  • Experience working effectively in a distributed HR model
  • Previous experience in multinational companies and/or highly complex matrix organizations
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience driving organizational effectiveness, transformation, or change at pace
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday or similar platforms
  • Enthusiasm for learning new capabilities, including artificial intelligence tools
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the insurance environment
  • Any additional good spoken and written CEE language is an advantage
