About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage an allocated client base
- Provide advice on significant or problematic losses across a wide range of industry sectors
- Investigate claims and prepare claim files
- Quantify actual losses
- Investigate and resolve coverage issues
- Negotiate with insurers to reach agreeable settlements
- Work with clients to understand and quantify incurred losses
- Prepare claims files for large loss submissions, including all relevant loss considerations
- Work with clients, insurers, and loss adjusters to reach agreeable settlements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or diploma qualification in accounting
- Accounting qualifications, or working towards a qualification, would be an advantage
- 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting, audit, or professional services
- Prior experience in claims, accounting, or loss adjusting preferred
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Interest in forensic accounting
- Willingness to learn and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with clients and insurers on major, complex, disputed, or catastrophic losses
- Experience in property, liability, and/or business interruption claims
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Local language capability for the Japanese market
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Fresh CPA candidates with strong drive and interest in building a forensic accounting career
