About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and apply actuarial modelling skills to support client projects and advisory work
  • Execute end-to-end delivery of client engagements, ensuring quality and timely completion
  • Communicate key insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships across a range of industries
  • Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes through analytical and advisory support
  • Contribute to actuarial reserving, technical pricing, stochastic loss modelling, risk finance optimisation and limit validation review projects
  • Combine technical problem solving with high-value client engagement
  • Deliver actuarial and risk analytics to clients across a range of industries
  • Participate in diverse and complex end-to-end client engagements
  • Communicate technical insights clearly and practically to clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2 years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Degree qualification in a related field such as Actuarial Studies, Data Science, Statistics or another relevant technical discipline
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently with critical thinking skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in actuarial reserving, technical pricing or loss modelling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to mentor or support junior team members where appropriate
  • Appropriate approval to work in Australia
  • Successful applicants must complete a Criminal & Bankruptcy check prior to commencing employment
