About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and own product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for assigned IT platforms
- Translate business needs and technical constraints into product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs
- Lead product planning and prioritization using data, stakeholder input, and business value
- Partner with engineering, architecture, security, operations, vendor partners, and business SMEs to deliver releases on time and on budget
- Act as product owner in Agile delivery teams, clarifying scope, accepting deliverables, managing sprint priorities, and removing blockers
- Drive product adoption and change management through stakeholder engagement, communications, training plans, and measurement
- Define and monitor product success metrics and report product performance to leadership
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party product lifecycles, including requirements, RFPs, contract alignment, and performance reviews
- Ensure product designs meet security, compliance, privacy, and accessibility standards
- Contribute to risk mitigation activities
- Mentor and coach junior product managers
- Contribute to product management best practices and governance across IT
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of product management experience in IT or technology environments
- Demonstrated ownership of enterprise IT products or platforms
- Proven track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder IT initiatives from discovery through production
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and modern cloud-native architectures
- Experience working with engineering, architecture, and security teams and translating technical concepts for business stakeholders
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills
- Data-driven decision-making skills; experience defining and tracking KPIs and using analytics to inform prioritization
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
- Experience with identity/access management, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), integration platforms, ITSM, or enterprise data platforms preferred
- Familiarity with SOC2, ISO27001, and GDPR preferred
- Prior experience in a regulated industry or large global organization preferred
- Technical literacy for architectural and engineering discussions
- Negotiation and vendor management skills
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus
- Problem-solving orientation and comfort with ambiguity
- Empathy for end users and focus on measurable value
