About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work within an Agile (SCRUM) delivery team responsible for developing features and enhancements to the strategic product portfolio
Understand business requirements and identify scenarios for automated and manual testing
Test AI/Gen AI business applications
Demonstrate usage of Gen AI in tooling and AI-driven insights reporting
Create and reuse AI utilities/components for testing
Design automation test scripts with appropriate regression coverage
Understand API test resources, requirements and scripting
Set up an automation test framework
Execute and maintain manual and automated test scripts and report results
Investigate technical problems, identify needs and determine possible solutions
Document test results, defect logs and issue logs
Participate in development of technical documentation
Report status to the Delivery Lead and Reporting Manager
Communicate with team members and project delivery stakeholders
Work with Test Leads to improve ROI of automated and functional tests
Own MercerTech initiatives with Quality Engineering Leads
Drive Agile continuous-improvement initiatives with Delivery Leads

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years’ experience in the IT industry
Demonstrable experience working on successful test programs on enterprise-scale applications or projects
Experience working in Scrum teams within a SAFe delivery framework preferred
Experience applying Generative AI capabilities for BAU work effectiveness and practical use cases
Experience working in Agile POD, Squad model and In-Sprint Automation
Exposure to GenAI utilities such as Copilot or equivalent plugin/tooling
Proficiency in UI and API test automation
Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Selenium, Playwright, WebDriverIO, TestNG and Cypress
API test automation experience with Playwright, RestAssured or PactumJS
Experience with JMeter and LoadRunner for performance testing is a plus
Experience using Azure DevOps for end-to-end test delivery
Repository and CI/CD pipeline management experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
Positive attitude and ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
Aptitude toward systems and technology
Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently or with a team
Ability to prioritize time effectively
