About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the lead strategic pharmacy advisor for select mid-market and national accounts
- Manage overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design review, contract renewal, business placement, and benchmarking
- Identify provider performance gaps and recommend ways to control spend and trend
- Upsell Mercer pharmacy solutions
- Negotiate competitive Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) contracts
- Lead regional and national marketing pursuits
- Delegate effectively to provide developmental opportunities to team members
- Mentor and coach project team members
- Manage key MercerRx client accounts and projects day to day
- Assist with new solution development based on marketplace developments
- Manage internal resources to create client deliverables, including pricing, clinical, and Health & Benefits resources
- Handle quick deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
- Interact with clients, Mercer consultants, and other internal and external resources
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree
- 8+ years of consulting or other relevant experience in the pharmacy managed care industry
- Superior analytical, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills
- Strong client-facing experience
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize and simultaneously handle multiple and complex projects in a demanding work environment
- Ability to thrive in an environment embracing AI and technology-enabled tools
