About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Audit aircraft maintenance records and deliver high-quality products to clients
- Operate as an advanced-level specialist in aircraft records, continued airworthiness, configuration control, and aviation maintenance
- Establish work methods, quality standards, and review processes
- Lead defined project workstreams by developing workplans, tracking progress, prioritizing work, and raising risks or issues
- Mentor, train, and provide actionable feedback to specialists
- Approve internal and client-ready deliverables and ensure quality
- Build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues
- Travel nationally and internationally as required
- Lead technical analyses performed by junior team members, including direction, review, and approval
- Interpret, audit, and verify Airworthiness Directives and methods of compliance
- Determine applicability of Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
- Verify time since new and time used on life-limited and hard-time components
- Perform and review back-to-birth traceability for life-limited components
- Verify aircraft documentation, sign-offs, parts certificates, NDT records, and vendor approvals
- Research and resolve aircraft-records issues
- Analyze and review minor and major repair records
- Evaluate Supplemental Type Certificates for installation and compliance
- Use technical knowledge, computer models, and databases to develop client solutions
- Use Wizard, Merlin, Trax, Maintenix, and AMOS for research, updates, and data input
- Remain involved in complex, high-risk, and judgment-intensive work while delegating routine production
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of prior work-related experience in aircraft records or as an aircraft technical representative
- Comprehensive understanding of Federal or National Aviation Authority regulations concerning aircraft, engines, and appliances
- 6+ years of experience performing relevant qualifications and responsibilities with a Part 121 carrier
- Extensive mastery of technical-focus-area skills, with ability to teach and mentor others
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail when managing large volumes of data
- Proficiency in database management and auditing
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- General knowledge of Google Drive
- Working knowledge of Wizard, Merlin, Trax, Maintenix, and AMOS
- Developing project management skills
- Effective written, verbal, presentation, and meeting-facilitation skills
- Ability to collaborate across teams and with clients
- Customer-service orientation and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple duties and priorities, physical and digital records, and client confidentiality
- Inclusive leadership and conflict-management judgment
- Ability to adapt to in-person, hybrid, or remote working environments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization
- Prior aircraft maintenance experience and a quality background required for Aircraft Technical Representative duties
