About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Remotely review, evaluate, and interpret radiographs, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and other digitally submitted diagnostic images
Dictate diagnostic imaging reports using voice dictation software
Communicate collaboratively with colleagues through the AIS chat group
Consult with clients and veterinary professionals via phone, email, Zoom, MS Teams, and other communication methods
Interact with AIS technical support and other personnel
Participate in AIS clinic rounds, journal club, employee meetings, and professional enrichment
Participate in ACVR and other continuing education events
Participate in quality control programs
Maintain proficiency in clinical diagnostic skills and stay current on diagnostic theories, approaches, and treatments
Assist with veterinary teleradiology duties
Participate in enterprise initiatives and special projects as assigned
Uphold ethical standards, company policies, and veterinary professional standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (EVDI)
Expertise interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine
Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the respective state
Fluency in English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to high medical quality and the veterinary code of ethics
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work effectively with teams, clients, and management
Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
