About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Remotely review, evaluate, and interpret radiographs, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and other digitally submitted diagnostic images
  • Dictate diagnostic imaging reports using voice dictation software
  • Communicate collaboratively with colleagues through the AIS chat group
  • Consult with clients and veterinary professionals via phone, email, Zoom, MS Teams, and other communication methods
  • Interact with AIS technical support and other personnel
  • Participate in AIS clinic rounds, journal club, employee meetings, and professional enrichment
  • Participate in ACVR and other continuing education events
  • Participate in quality control programs
  • Maintain proficiency in clinical diagnostic skills and stay current on diagnostic theories, approaches, and treatments
  • Assist with veterinary teleradiology duties
  • Participate in enterprise initiatives and special projects as assigned
  • Uphold ethical standards, company policies, and veterinary professional standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
  • Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (EVDI)
  • Expertise interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine
  • Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the respective state
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to high medical quality and the veterinary code of ethics
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively with teams, clients, and management
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
