About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Sustainability Reporting Director in preparing for and complying with global mandatory reporting requirements
  • Define processes, identify controls, and lead selected activity reporting
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate the Sustainability Reporting for Finance framework
  • Create supporting documentation to ensure adherence to global regulations and mandatory reporting
  • Interact with associates throughout the business to develop, improve, and oversee sustainability initiatives
  • Partner with the Sustainability team, Public Affairs, Corporate Controllership, Segments, and MGS to ensure awareness and compliance
  • Identify potential gaps and provide remediation guidance and tracking
  • Manage projects to roll out initiatives according to predefined timelines
  • Identify and escalate potential challenges in a timely manner
  • Develop controls within the Sustainability Controls Implementation program across Environmental, Social, and Governance areas
  • Coordinate owners and SMEs to ensure governance, control, and high-quality data for Sustainability Reporting
  • Develop and manage the reporting calendar and coordinate reporting requirements across functions
  • Prepare for CSRD reporting as a first-year priority

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Business, or Sustainability required
  • MS or MBA a plus
  • CPA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, IT, sustainability, or risk and control roles
  • At least 3+ years practicing the relevant technical knowledge and skills
  • Experience with privately owned, global, decentralized organizations
  • Experience with Big 4 public accounting, CPG, manufacturing, or service-based industries
  • Experience with sustainability reporting processes and controls, including automation and standardization opportunities
  • Experience with one or more of CSRD, CDP, ISSB, EU Taxonomy, COSO, or Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
  • Strong functional, technical, analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to support a global initiative involving associates around the world
