About the role
- Creates, develops and commercializes packaging initiatives that support core brand growth, efficiency and innovation
- Provides technical support to troubleshoot key quality or manufacturing issues
- Leads development of ‘fit for purpose ‘packaging platforms
- Develops detailed packaging specifications
- Initiates, coordinates and executes line trials
- Manages packaging suppliers
- Coordinates the creation of high quality prototypes
- Collaborates with global Mars counterparts
- Supports onboarding of Associate Packaging Engineers and Packaging Engineers
Requirements
- B.S. Packaging Science Degree or related technical discipline or equivalent
- 2+ years of industry experience
- Solid understanding of key scientific principles associated with packaging
- Demonstrated record of success performing research
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with teams
- Effective communication skills
- Advanced degree in Packaging Science or related technical discipline (Preferred)
- Food/CPG and manufacturing experience (Preferred)
