About the role
- Provide peer-to-peer (veterinarian-to-veterinarian) medical consultation to Antech clients
- Interpret and/or select laboratory tests and advise on diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of medical diseases in canine and feline patients
- Achieve and maintain superior knowledge of Antech offerings and proprietary testing
- Build and strengthen rapport with clients during consultation
- Assist with duties relevant to consultation services and other Antech departments
- Attend consultant meetings and continuing education seminars
- Participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned
- Create or provide client support materials (presentations, webinars, support documents, videos, podcasts) as required
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
- Active license in the state or province in which you reside
- Board-certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM)
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience after completing board certification
- Track record of high-quality continuing education
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Bilingualism (specifically fluency in French) preferred
- Excellent verbal (phone and in person) communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Proven ability and willingness to navigate challenging conversations
- Strong commitment to medical quality and veterinary code of ethics
- Comfortable with Microsoft programs, Cisco Systems, and proprietary lab-based programs
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to work effectively with clients and management
- Ability to work effectively remotely with minimal supervision
- Preference for candidates able to work a 40 hour per week schedule
