About the role

  • Provide peer-to-peer (veterinarian-to-veterinarian) medical consultation to Antech clients
  • Interpret and/or select laboratory tests and advise on diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of medical diseases in canine and feline patients
  • Achieve and maintain superior knowledge of Antech offerings and proprietary testing
  • Build and strengthen rapport with clients during consultation
  • Assist with duties relevant to consultation services and other Antech departments
  • Attend consultant meetings and continuing education seminars
  • Participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned
  • Create or provide client support materials (presentations, webinars, support documents, videos, podcasts) as required

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
  • Active license in the state or province in which you reside
  • Board-certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM)
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience after completing board certification
  • Track record of high-quality continuing education
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Bilingualism (specifically fluency in French) preferred
  • Excellent verbal (phone and in person) communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proven ability and willingness to navigate challenging conversations
  • Strong commitment to medical quality and veterinary code of ethics
  • Comfortable with Microsoft programs, Cisco Systems, and proprietary lab-based programs
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively with clients and management
  • Ability to work effectively remotely with minimal supervision
  • Preference for candidates able to work a 40 hour per week schedule
