Provide peer-to-peer (veterinarian-to-veterinarian) medical consultation to Antech clients
Interpret and/or select laboratory tests and advise on diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of medical diseases in canine and feline patients
Achieve and maintain superior knowledge of Antech offerings and proprietary testing
Build and strengthen rapport with clients during consultation
Assist with duties relevant to consultation services and other Antech departments
Attend consultant meetings and continuing education seminars
Participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned
Create or provide client support materials (presentations, webinars, support documents, videos, podcasts) as required
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
Active license in the state or province in which you reside
Board-certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM)
Minimum 5 years clinical experience after completing board certification
Track record of high-quality continuing education
Fluency in English, both spoken and written
Bilingualism (specifically fluency in French) preferred
Excellent verbal (phone and in person) communication skills
Excellent written communication skills
Proven ability and willingness to navigate challenging conversations
Strong commitment to medical quality and veterinary code of ethics
Comfortable with Microsoft programs, Cisco Systems, and proprietary lab-based programs
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work effectively with clients and management
Ability to work effectively remotely with minimal supervision
Preference for candidates able to work a 40 hour per week schedule
