About the role

  • Lead the monthly and annual closing and consolidation processes for the Royal Canin Group (102 units)
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across all markets
  • Drive insightful analysis, structured balance sheet reviews, and reinforce financial integrity
  • Act as the key link between RC units and Mars Inc for financial guidelines and US GAAP updates
  • Partner with FP&A and other stakeholders to align reporting with business priorities
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks in collaboration with business and finance partners
  • Ensure compliance with the Mars Financial Manual and external regulations
  • Govern internal control processes in partnership with the G&C team
  • Lead audit preparation and implement process improvements following audit recommendations
  • Continuously improve controlling processes and promote best practices
  • Support key transformation projects (new markets, ERP upgrades, digital finance)
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and financial excellence

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in finance and accounting
  • Strong background in financial controllership and reporting (HFM, OneStream, SAP/Navision)
  • You hold a Master’s in Finance (or equivalent)
  • Experience in audit or change management is a plus
  • You speak fluent english, french is a plus
  • You understand complex financial data and know how to make it simple
  • You drive performance, ensure accountability, and thrive in a complex, global, and transforming environment
  • You know how to align stakeholders, create engagement, and move the roadmap forward with clarity and conviction
  • You’re humble and hands-on, comfortable challenging senior leaders, but also getting into journal entries when needed.
