About the role

  • You support your team in the day-to-day operations of accounts payable and roll up your sleeves when needed
  • You actively develop your team through coaching, feedback, development conversations and by living the Mars principles
  • You ensure that the policies of the Mars Finance Manual are consistently followed
  • You are responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations (including BlackLine) and manage the period-end closing processes
  • You oversee the invoice-to-pay process and lead engaging ad-hoc projects
  • You act as a Key User for our ERP system (1Navision) in the P2P area
  • You work closely with internal stakeholders and provide advice on finance and process matters
  • You analyze financial data and ensure reports and metrics are accurate and delivered on time
  • You communicate financial results to the Cluster Financial Controller
  • You further develop internal processes and manage the implementation and maintenance of the ICE Framework (Internal Controls Excellence)
  • You drive continuous improvement, measuring and optimizing performance using clear KPIs
  • You design onboarding and training for our internal stakeholders around the purchase-to-pay process

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • Relevant professional experience in finance and accounting
  • Ideally a CIMA or ACCA qualification (not required, but a plus)
  • Initial leadership experience as a team lead or in a similar role
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and confident handling of accounting standards
  • Excellent German and English skills – additional cluster languages (e.g., French or Dutch) are a benefit
