About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee consolidation of financial data for various entities, including revenue streams, brands, and departments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Draft financial statement disclosures in accordance with GAAP
- Support the Controller during the annual financial statement audit and work directly with the assigned public accounting firm
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting formats for management and other stakeholders
- Provide quarterly reporting for Board presentations
- Develop and implement financial reporting policies and procedures
- Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests from brand teams, management, and stakeholders
- Research accounting standards and prepare application and conclusion memos
- Anticipate and communicate applicable newly issued ASUs
- Lead transition processes and onboarding for new acquisitions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills; ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Proactive adoption and engagement with AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams and directly with management
- Hands-on and problem-solving attitude
- BS degree in accounting
- CPA highly preferred
- 8–10 years of accounting/financial reporting experience, including a minimum of 5 years in public accounting
- Experience with consolidations of multiple entities
- Global consolidations and foreign currency accounting preferred
- Operations experience preferred
