About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
- Prospect for new business and create sales opportunities.
- Prepare quotes and close orders accurately and efficiently.
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and contract growth opportunities.
- Manage accounts to support sales goals for revenue, margin, and volume.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
- Track and expedite shipments to meet customer expectations.
- Develop strong knowledge of market trends and core products including pipe, tubing, and bar.
- Resolve customer issues related to pricing, delivery, quality, and service.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or account management experience, preferably in steel, metals, industrial distribution, or manufacturing.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP/CRM systems.
