About the role

  • Lead the development and execution of the national strategic accounts strategy across distribution and contractor channels.
  • Establish joint business planning processes to align growth targets, key performance indicators, and long-term objectives.
  • Coordinate across regions to identify opportunities and ensure effective distribution channel execution.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with senior leaders at top accounts.
  • Define and manage a distribution channel footprint optimized for growth.
  • Deliver account volume and profitability growth.
  • Drive sales expansion and deeper penetration within strategic national accounts.
  • Identify and secure large-scale project opportunities in collaboration with regional sales teams.
  • Negotiate and manage strategic agreements, pricing programs, and incentive structures with national partners.
  • Partner with regional sales directors to ensure seamless execution of strategic national account strategies in local markets.
  • Work closely with marketing, product management, and operations to develop account-specific programs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs to refine strategies.
  • Conduct quarterly executive business reviews with strategic partners to evaluate performance against the plan and program goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive sales and leadership experience
  • At least 5 years managing strategic, distribution, or national accounts in the electrical or construction markets
  • Proven track record of managing C-suite level customer relationships
  • Strong knowledge of distribution channels and contractor engagement
  • Excellent negotiation, strategic planning, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and influence across a matrixed organization
  • Willingness to travel nationally (50%+).
