Chaplain – Part-Time
Marketplace ChaplainsChaplain providing support and ministry services to employees and their families in a part-time capacity. Engaging with employees through visits and pastoral care across various environments.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serves as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose
- Makes regular visits to company worksites to interact with employees and build relationships
- Provides confidential pastoral discussions for problem issues of employees and their immediate family members
- May assist in the planning, conduct or attend funerals for employees or immediate family members
- Works with companies to serve notifications of death and serious injuries to families and other employees
- Provides post-termination care for laid-off or terminated employees
- Participates in new employee orientation to explain the Employee Care Service and the role of the Chaplain Team
- Responds positively and assertively to other duties and services requested by executive leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group in an interfaith setting
- Skills to effectively listen and interact with clients, employees, and their families
- Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and MCHAP's Ministry values
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy with diverse groups
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing information and solving problems
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or equivalent software
- Must have an active state driver’s license and state minimum auto insurance
