About the role

  • Assist in creating visual content such as logos, brochures, banners, advertisements, social media graphics, and other marketing materials.
  • Follow design briefs and adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Incorporate feedback from senior designers and clients to refine and improve designs.
  • Make revisions and adjustments to designs based on critique and project needs.
  • Ensure all design files are properly named, organized, and stored.
  • Prepare print-ready files and ensure they meet the required specifications for production.
  • Support the design team in various stages of the project, from initial concept to final execution.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and design proposals for clients or internal reviews.
  • Work closely with senior designers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
  • Use graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma and Canva to create and edit designs.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma: An associate's or bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Design Software: Knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools like Canva or Figma.
  • Basic Understanding of Web Design: Familiarity with web design principles would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of typography principles, font pairing, readability, and layout.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in design work.
  • Understanding of colour schemes, colour matching, and the psychological impact of colours.
  • Knowledge of branding principles and the ability to design within brand guidelines.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including personal projects, school projects, or internships.
  • Some experience through internships or freelance work can be advantageous.
