About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement specific, measurable broker strategies
- Create engagement plans that build executive relationships with Markel leaders and brokers
- Identify and evaluate business development opportunities
- Collaborate with regional teams to execute broker strategies
- Act as broker advocate managing account issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years of business development and/or underwriting experience in commercial property, casualty & specialty insurance
- Proven executive relationships with the industry’s top 25 P&C and Specialty retail brokers
- Expert relationship development skills
- Proven leadership and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
