About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead pricing analyses for assigned Commercial Professional Lines, including the development of rate indications, pricing tools, and portfolio insights.
Evaluate and support new business opportunities, including research, modeling, and pricing framework development.
Partner closely with Underwriting, Claims, and other cross-functional stakeholders for pricing strategies.
Clearly communicate actuarial findings and recommendations to actuarial and non-actuarial audiences.
Present results and recommendations in meetings to ensure alignment with stakeholders.
Provide guidance to non-actuarial partners on actuarial principles, methodologies, and key assumptions.
Contribute to and lead cross-functional initiatives, representing the Actuarial function.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics, statistics, or related analytical field.
ACAS certification required; FCAS preferred.
10+ years of actuarial experience, with a strong emphasis on Commercial Lines pricing.
Demonstrated experience in Professional Lines products (e.g., E&O, D&O, EPLI) strongly preferred.
Proven ability to lead and manage projects, including prioritization, resource coordination, and delivery against deadlines.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to balance technical rigor and practical business judgment.
Ability to clearly articulate and defend actuarial assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions.
Experience working in cross-functional environments and driving alignment across stakeholders.
