About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead pricing analyses for assigned Commercial Professional Lines, including the development of rate indications, pricing tools, and portfolio insights.
  • Evaluate and support new business opportunities, including research, modeling, and pricing framework development.
  • Partner closely with Underwriting, Claims, and other cross-functional stakeholders for pricing strategies.
  • Clearly communicate actuarial findings and recommendations to actuarial and non-actuarial audiences.
  • Present results and recommendations in meetings to ensure alignment with stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to non-actuarial partners on actuarial principles, methodologies, and key assumptions.
  • Contribute to and lead cross-functional initiatives, representing the Actuarial function.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics, statistics, or related analytical field.
  • ACAS certification required; FCAS preferred.
  • 10+ years of actuarial experience, with a strong emphasis on Commercial Lines pricing.
  • Demonstrated experience in Professional Lines products (e.g., E&O, D&O, EPLI) strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage projects, including prioritization, resource coordination, and delivery against deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to balance technical rigor and practical business judgment.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and defend actuarial assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments and driving alignment across stakeholders.
