About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures
- Providing patient care and physician assistance during procedures
- Competently performs all diagnostic imaging examinations
- Accurately correlates patient clinical history with the Radiology exam
- Assists with department clerical functions and attends department meetings
- Keeps current with changes in policy and procedure
- Troubleshoots radiology equipment and communicates need for repair
- Develops and maintains effective work relationships with management, staff, patients, and physicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited ARMRIT or Radiologic Technologist ARRT program required
- 2 years’ experience training in an ACR accredited facility or formal training with an accredited MRI program required
- High school diploma or an equivalent G.E.D. program preferred
- MRI experience within the last three years preferred
- California Certified Radiological Technologist Certificate (CRT) preferred
- Valid MRI Certificate with ARMRIT (ARRT) or ARRT in good standing required within six months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire
- Proof of venipuncture certification required at hire
