About the role

  • Primarily support the paperwork team, onboarding new clients by working with outside advisors. This role focuses on taking ownership of client onboarding cases from the initial information gathering to final account funding. This includes working with other departments, and outside custodians, to facilitate a seamless transition.
  • The client service associate is a critical part of the Mariner Wealth Advisors team. As one of the first associates’ advisors connect with, the client service associate is instrumental in making sure advisors have a positive experience, reducing NIGOs and facilitating a seamless account onboarding. If you love building relationships, managing a diversity of tasks, have a strong attention to detail and excellent time management, and want to be an important part of a growing team, then this opportunity is for you.   • Responsibilities
  • Maintain client paper files and electronic data files in a timely manner; journals, transfers, and other money movement/account funding
  • Understand an advisor’s overall business needs in relation to new account openings
  • Review activities within the job scope for sufficient controls to prevent errors, fraud and misstatements of financial results
  • Attend and participate in learning opportunities through client service associate meetings and internal resources made available through compliance, practice management, etc.

  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Wealth management experience or applicable internship experience
  • Broader financial experience a plus

  • Strong PC proficiency with MS Office Suite, CRM (Salesforce, Redtail, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Fidelity and Schwab
  • Positive and proactive attitude toward advisor relations to provide exceptional, proactive client service
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain the necessary attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effective client relationships
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
  • Able to work in a team environment
