As an Associate, Specialty Tax, you will help our clients as you develop compliant and comprehensive cost segregation studies that increase tax benefits.
Review and analyze all available construction or acquisition documentation for a respective project
Examine any available construction drawings, floorplans, and project specifications to identify and properly classify all depreciable assets
Conduct on-site inspections to notate and document the nature and use of all depreciable property
Prepare detailed schedules & reports summarizing and supporting the results of our depreciation analysis
Effectively communicate with CPAs and clients to understand goals and needs
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, business, construction management, or engineering
1+ years tax practice experience in a traditional public accounting or similar environment
(Preferred) CPA or similar experience with cost segregation, job costing, or similar experience
Engineer with cost segregation, energy credit or similar experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Familiarity with tax software programs
Positive attitude toward client relations to provide exceptional, proactive client service
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain the necessary attention to detail
Highly organized with strong analytical skills, creative problem solving and strong research capabilities
Ability to work on a team while maintaining a high level of responsibility and accountability to individual projects and tasks
Able to manage conflicting priorities, deadline-based tasks and simultaneous projects
Clear communicator with strong interpersonal writing & presentation skills
