About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answering and directing incoming calls
- Sorting and distributing mail
- Updating case files and the case management system
- Utilize the database and other templates to complete correspondence for clientele
- Update client addresses when needed
- Make copies and organize documents
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail daily
- Receive, log, and stock supplies and equipment
- Answer multi-line phone, generate a call log, transfer calls, and relay messages to staff
- Move boxes and other large items as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Six months of clerical experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Post-secondary education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
- Six months of experience working in an indigent defense law office
- Six months of experience working in a law firm setting
- Experience with data entry software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
