About the role
- Register, correct, and amend vital records
- Issue certified birth and death certificates
- Provide expert guidance to community partners and stakeholders
- Protect public health by maintaining record security
- Monitor mortality trends
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, Arizona State Statutes, and federal requirements
Requirements
- Two years of office, administrative, or clerical experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
- Post-secondary education may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
- Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete a background check
- Required immunizations include MMR, Tdap, Varicella, and annual Influenza; some positions may require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test
