About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and engage with customers throughout onboarding, adoption, expansion, retention, and advocacy
  • Guide new customers through MariaDB deployment onboarding and best practices
  • Establish an ongoing meeting cadence with the assigned customer portfolio
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships and advocate for customers internally
  • Understand customer data-management strategies and recommend improvements using MariaDB capabilities
  • Identify proactive opportunities to provide customer value
  • Address customer-experience issues and act as an escalation point with Technical Support
  • Coordinate with Sales Engineers and Professional Services on upgrades, migrations, deployments, and maintenance
  • Conduct regular business reviews to showcase value and understand business goals
  • Encourage participation in webinars, roadshows, and product feedback initiatives
  • Measure, manage, and improve customer health, engagement, and value realization
  • Coordinate with Account Executives on customer upgrades, migrations, and growth
  • Document growth plans, expectations, and successes in success plans
  • Communicate customer needs across the business and act as a customer champion
  • Influence cross-functional departments to promote customer satisfaction and success
  • Manage the customer portfolio to achieve company Net Retention goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–4 years of experience in customer-facing roles within enterprise software
  • Fluent in and able to speak and write in English
  • Professional representation of the company
  • Technical acumen, intellectual curiosity, and relationship-building ability
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain C-level relationships
  • Ability to deliver custom ROI analysis for the customer portfolio
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer success principles
  • Strong understanding of MariaDB features, architecture, and common enterprise use cases
  • Ability to discuss new MariaDB features and releases
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in identifying and understanding complex business needs related to MariaDB
  • Must be located in Malaysia; MariaDB does not sponsor work visas or relocation
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% within the region
