About the role

  • Execute a content strategy that aligns with corporate messaging to reposition MariaDB as a higher-value alternative to MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Own our visibility in the new search landscape. Optimize content for LLM rankings
  • Build and own the global editorial calendar to ensure a consistent, high-quality content
  • Act as the primary editor and a key writer. Publish regular, high-impact blogs and articles
  • Use AI writing and research tools to scale content without losing brand voice
  • Establish a clear process for content production, giving visibility into what is being published

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional writing or content marketing experience
  • A background in journalism, reporting, or professional blogging is highly preferred
  • You can take a 30-minute interview with a developer and turn it into a provocative, SEO/LLM-optimized blog post by the end of the day
  • You are already using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to brainstorm, outline, and draft
  • You may not be a database administrator, but you aren't afraid of technical topics
  • You are comfortable "interviewing" stakeholders to extract great stories
  • You love a good Kanban board or spreadsheet. You keep projects on track and stakeholders informed
  • You want to win the "search war" against our competitors
