About the role
- Develop and execute marketing programs specifically designed to drive expansion within existing accounts, showcasing the value of new features and services.
- Create "expansion toolkits" for Sales teams, including targeted email sequences, "why upgrade" decks, and customer-only webinars.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Customer Success team to identify healthy accounts ready for expansion and "at-risk" accounts that need targeted value-reinforcement content.
- Design, launch, and manage MariaDB’s inaugural CAB program to foster deep partnerships with our most strategic enterprise customers.
- Facilitate sessions between customer executives and MariaDB leadership to ensure our roadmap is aligned with market demand.
- Partner with Product Management to ensure the roadmap incorporates customer benchmarking data and real-world feedback.
- Own the strategy and execution of a global customer newsletter and other dedicated communication channels to keep customers informed of product updates and best practices.
- Recruit customer references and develop high-impact success stories and testimonials that showcase our unique value propositions.
- Grow the number of customer success stories focusing on the business benefits of why they choose MariaDB.
- Support analyst relations efforts that require customer references, such as the Gartner MQ or Forrester Wave, including recruiting customers to participate and ensuring proper follow through.
- Own public review sites, such as Gartner Peer Insights and G2, including creating a strategy to drive more positive reviews of MariaDB that align to the corporate narrative.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant marketing experience in a B2B technology company, preferably within the enterprise database or IT infrastructure space.
- Proven track record of developing core messaging and content that generates customer engagement and improves sales effectiveness.
- Ability to design marketing programs that contribute to expansion pipeline and customer retention.
- Sufficient understanding of database technologies.
- Travel up to 10%
