Accountant

• Record and process all accounts payable including accounts payables, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate card expenses
• Ensure that all internal controls are strictly adhered to
• Prepare journal entries for the month-end close, record and process all invoicing/accounts receivable, prepare monthly reconciliations
• Work with team members across the Foundation, especially on our Operations team
• Develop and share deep knowledge of the Foundation’s expense policies to support colleagues with finance inquiries
• Annually prepare 1099s for filing, assist in preparation of materials for annual audit and Form 990-PF, assist in policy updates and participate in implementation of cross-department workflows
• Gain exposure to complex work, like payroll regulations across multiple states and accounting for investments
• Gain experience process mapping, change management, and implementation of a new expense reporting tool
