About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Under limited supervision, responsible for activities related to Systems Administration and the integration with server operating systems and applications.
- May lead or mentor lower level team members.
- Ensure systems are patched and hardened in alignment with organization policies.
- Develop and maintain automation and scripting to improve system consistency and operational efficiency.
- Provides systems management services, support, and product expertise for the implementation and knowledge transfer of server applications across the enterprise and various customer accounts.
- Provides tier 2/3 technical support and serves as systems person on-call for problem resolution.
- Provides root-cause analysis and documentation for system and application integration related problems and implements solutions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, storage, and application teams to support enterprise platforms and services, ensuring operational consistency, adherence to standards, and alignment with security and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures, and leverage system logs, metrics, and platform analytics to support troubleshooting, operational consistency, and guidance to junior administrators.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Responsible for systems administration activities, including the use of automation, scripting, and standardized procedures to support Linux server operations, backups, patching, and integration with enterprise applications.
- Perform system installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot complex OS‑level, performance, and availability issues.
- Manage system services, storage, file systems, logging, and scheduled tasks.
- Understanding of server applications and integration with Active Directory and ERP systems.
- Experience with VMware and ESXi;
- Experience configuring applications to connect to backend databases using MSSQL and/or other databases.
- An understanding of SSL with the ability to install and configure certificates.
- Ability to work in a team environment with the ability to tactfully discuss issues with peers and leaders.
- Participate in an on-call rotation that includes occasional after hours and weekend work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or IT required.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in IT and systems administration is required.

PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire. Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken. Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment. Holidays: 12 set paid holidays each year.
