About the role

  • Provides clinical and consultative services to prevent, assess, evaluate, and treat mental emotional or behavioral disorders of youth ages 3-20.
  • Provides counseling and case management services for patients using evidence-based practices.
  • Performs crisis interventions as needed.
  • Coordinates with referring providers and other professionals, family members as needed, to engage patient in care.
  • Provides liaison between clinical team, clinical leadership, and other professionals involved in the patient’s care.
  • Consults and assures continuity of care, conveys assessment findings, and implements therapeutic plans.
  • Prepares reports and other documentation in accordance with good clinical practice and institutional standards.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and clinical experience with mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide diagnostic assessment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain trust and rapport.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strongly preferred Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Up to one (1) year related experience.
  • Registered with the Texas Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists as an intern.
