About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and coordinate all aspects of DPRIT grant operating procedures and pre- and post-award practices and guidelines
- Support management of DPRIT by working with internal and external stakeholders, faculty, staff, and study principal investigators
- Execute DPRIT grant management activities, including grant and study deadlines, risk management, and fiscal operations
- Assist in negotiating research contracts
- Develop and maintain documents for the DPRIT grant application process
- Ensure compliance with federal and local regulations and alignment with UTHSCSA and research organization policies
- Maintain communication with the investigative team
- Provide staff training and research oversight
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently with faculty and staff with minimal supervision
- Strong multitasking skills, including meeting competing deadlines and prioritizing
- Ability to support the investigator team
- Strong ethics and professionalism
- Must be able to come into the office three (3) times a week
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- Seven (7) years experience in research or related administration is required
- Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48 may be required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data capture systems such as REDCap
