About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the underwriting team by gathering, evaluating, and analyzing risk information from a variety of sources.
Review and approve low-hazard risks within delegated authority, ensuring all decisions are thoroughly documented.
Partner with underwriters to support the evaluation of more complex or higher-risk submissions.
Prepare and deliver a range of reports by collecting, validating, analyzing, and summarizing data.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associates Degree or Technical or specialized knowledge or equivalent, related experience.
1 - 3 years or High School equivalent plus 3 - 5 years.
Required completion of Introduction to Insurance course and working toward AU designation is preferred.
Requires experience in commercial lines.
Demonstrated skills in manual and system rating of commercial risks in at least one line of business.
Ability to learn all commercial lines and to work within a team.
Communicate with customers, exercise judgment and negotiate in routine business situations.
