Key responsibilities & impact

Supports the Underwriting team by evaluating new and renewal risks
Reviews and approves underwriting referrals and property inspections
Assists Underwriters with risk selection through analysis of information
Handles various transactions like new business submissions and property inspections
Collaborates with underwriters on risks that exceed their authority
Communicates adverse trends or behaviors of individual agencies
Evaluates property inspection reports to identify underwriting hazards
Develops relationships with agents through daily communication
Provides daily support to underwriting staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associates Degree or Technical knowledge or equivalent experience
1 - 3 years of experience in Personal Lines Insurance
Effective oral and written communication skills
Completion of, or willingness to pursue Insurance related courses such as Introduction to Insurance, AINS or API
Ability to communicate with customers and exercise judgment in routine business situations.
